Long ago and far away I was born widdershins in the depths of Norfolk where my childhood spirit was nourished by the North sea and the wild windy weather. My imagination roamed free and my dreams grew to maturity in the enormous spacious expanse of sky.

During my misty landlocked years studying in Oxford these elements were sadly missed. However they are now returned to me here in the wild west of North Wales where I currently live and work with my Ho Ho Husband and our two incredible teenage creations. I have exchanged the North sea for the warmer Irish version. The weather is just as wild and the sky huge and accommodating.

Motivated by curiosity, colour, smell, taste, touch, dance, music, love; life’s gifts inspire me to create. The marvellous adventure of discovery as the work evolves and gradually reveals it’s secrets, is a constant source of pleasure and excitement.

I am lucky to live here in Pen Llyn where nature as Goddess has become the focus of exploration in my work. The Earth’s magic is strong and evident here, feeding a deep hunger within me which I attempt to unravel and satisfy through the creative process.

My work is a sensuous quest to understand the intimate mysteries of life as precious and magical. In a joyous celebration of womanhood, I hope to rediscover the positive, nurturing, peace-oriented values which have become subsumed by the materialist, patriarchal, violent society in which we live.

While mankind continues to view the earth as it’s commodity; stripping and exploiting those same resources which nourish and support our existence; I work with the primitive elements of earth, air, fire, and water, attempting to reinstate a sense of awe and humanity.

In a world where eroticism has come to be associated with obscenity, I seek to challenge and confront the hypocrisy of sexual stereotypes, reclaiming sexuality as sacred, celebrating the source of creativity itself.
